Here is one of the panels that i am adding to the narration. Still slow going on the lettering.
...also my artist friend Jed McGowan made my day by doing a pin-up for me to go in my book. His strips are some of the best i have read online so it is a real honor for me to have some artwork by him in my book.

...it is all coming together
I have been working on the lettering these past few days. I was over Jeff's apartment earlier going over things for publishing and came up with a smaller looking layout for the book itself. I am now going down to 2 panels per page. This means that i have enough panels to publish the book...so as soon as i am done with the lettering and maybe a few minor adjustments I will be ready to print the first issue. Please enjoy this little video i shot that shows a mock up of the size and dimensions of the book (inspired by Jeff's youtube stuff that i though was funny as hell)....Please let me know what you think.

Sequencing Time!
I have been putting the pages together on this short. I am pretty happy with how it all flows together...i just felt like it needed one more panel that cuts back to the Lurotiman's apartment in between segments so i am going to work on that tonight as well as work on the lettering a little bit more. As it stands now i have 12 pages done...10 more to go!

44 and 45
I got two panels done tonight.

I also went back on that last panel again adding a background on it because i thought it looked a little plain and i went back in on the original inked drawing and inked the cat by hand. I originally did it on the computer with my WACOM pen but it just never looked that good to me. I think Pi looks much better in this version.

This is also an example of how, when i am completely finished with the book, i might go back and rework some of my panels such as this one that i am not as happy with as i could be.

Here is todays panel though i am still thinking about fading the blacks on the inbetween poses of Lurotiman...pretty happy with it otherwise.
...also and i worked on one of my earlier panels trying to get it looking right...i made the right shoulder smaller and added an eyebrow which i think added a little more affection.

...nuclear sunset.
I took a few days off and went to visit my friend Josh in Kalifornia. I have been double timing my panels for the last few days before i left on friday so as not to feel guilty for not getting any panels done but i still do. I am going to try and make up for the 4 missed days by the weeks end...until then here is by far the best photograph from my trip.

38 and The Wiener!
...for some reason i am really proud of this panel.
...also Iain Laurie emailed me and asked if i wanted to contribute some fan art for his online strip BLACK CAPE! I was incredibly honored that he asked...Black Cape is hands down the best online strip i have ever read!! Their strip is one of my biggest influences.
It took me a while to start on it but i actually finished it all in one night....
Behold...THE WIENER!

...the pen seems to be working for now, so i went ahead and inked this panel. I spent half the day trying to find the kind of pen i use and turned up nothing. When i got home i looked up the brand on the internet and found them. The site gave me two locations where they carry their product. I will look there tomorrow but if mot i can order them from their website. I use COPIC multi-liners and i think they are by far the best pens for inking that i have come across.

...another delay
...but i am so far ahead of schedule that i am still on target for 88 days. I inked this drawing for a possible t-shirt design and the pen i use to ink with ran out on me. I had to go over some of the line work on this piece with another pen other than the one i normally use which is thinner.
I am not really worried because i am off tomorrow and I will get more pens to ink with. I will turn on the juicy-juice and get a record number of panels done in one day...i think that my high is 5.
...ohh yeah...Cartown Comics roll call (from left to right) The Blue Levidian, Romeo Death, Metroman, Lurotiman, Moreman, and The Hooli-Hooligan.
